Buffalo Trace Kosher – A Unique Wheated Bourbon
Buffalo Trace Kosher Wheat Recipe Bourbon Whiskey is a rare and meaningful release, created in partnership with the Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc). This collaboration began in 2010, and in 2020, the first kosher expressions were officially introduced.
Crafted with the same high-quality wheated mash bill used in W.L. Weller bourbons, Buffalo Trace Kosher stands out for its careful attention to detail. It is aged exclusively in kosher barrels and bottled at 94 proof, ensuring no contact with non-kosher spirits throughout the process.
This annual release, launched after Passover each year, has become both a collector’s treasure and a symbol of craftsmanship rooted in tradition and integrity.

About Buffalo Trace Distillery
Nestled on the banks of the Kentucky River in Frankfort, Kentucky, Buffalo Trace is America’s oldest continually operating distillery. It has endured Prohibition, wars, and changing times while crafting some of the world’s most beloved bourbons.
The distillery’s legacy includes legends like E.H. Taylor Jr., George T. Stagg, Albert B. Blanton, and Elmer T. Lee. Today, Buffalo Trace remains family-owned, still operating on the same historic 130 acres where it began over 200 years ago.
Why Bourbon Is America’s Spirit
Bourbon must be made with at least 51% corn and bottled at 40% ABV or higher. Though it can be produced across the U.S., Kentucky remains bourbon’s beating heart. Buffalo Trace Kosher proudly represents this tradition, offering a one-of-a-kind wheated expression with kosher certification.
